Bennelong Long Short Equity Management (BLSEM) is a boutique, market neutral asset manager, managing investments on behalf of both fund-of-funds and private investors. It was founded as a joint venture with Bennelong Funds Management in 2002.
BLSEM seeks to minimise market risk in the construction of its long/short portfolio by applying a limited market exposure strategy. The team's ‘bottom up’ fundamental research process aims to identify key drivers of company profitability to generate excess returns for investors. Its investment guidelines include strict frameworks for portfolio construction, exposure limits and risk management.
