The Hunger Ride provides an opportunity for companies to get their work mates together and take on a challenging 185km ride through Victoria’s most beautiful countryside and difficult terrain. Riders are part of a fully supported peloton and have the opportunity to ride alongside a number of well-known figures – including Australia’s voice of cycling Matt Keenan and former professional road cyclist Simon Gerrans.
After the success of the last Hunger Ride held in March 2022, which raised over $150,000, Bennelong is sponsoring the event for a second time, helping to ensure Foodbank Victoria can stage the ride and raise crucial funds for Victorians in need. Funds raised will help Foodbank Victoria support the state’s most vulnerable and provide emergency food relief.
Bennelong’s CEO, Craig Bingham, is thrilled to once again take part in the ride himself, which supports the community in a meaningful way that aligns with the company’s values.
“Foodbank’s work to feed families in need continues to be critically important. We’ve all seen the footage of the queues at Foodbank’s drive thru in July and riding myself is a very small hardship compared with what so many people are going through,” says Craig.
“It’s our privilege to support Foodbank via Bennelong’s sponsorship of the Hunger Ride.”
Craig will be riding in the Bennelong Funds Management team alongside Keenan and Gerrans.
